Fire Dampers Fire dampers are offered in two frame profiles: Standard (4 1/4”) and Thinline (2”). Blades are of an interlocking, curtain style. Fire dampers are offered in three types: Type A - Blades are “In the airstream” Type B - Blades are “Out of the airstream” Type C - Blades and frame are “Out of the airstream” Fire dampers are UL® rated as 1 1/2 hour or 3 hour devices, and all are activated via a fusible link. Fire dampers are offered for use in both STATIC and DYNAMIC Systems. Static Systems - Those in which the system fans shut down during fire and smoke control Dynamic Systems - Those in which the system fans remain running during fire and smoke control Fire dampers are manufactured 1/4” under the nominally ordered duct size. Fire dampers are available in galvanized and stainless steel.
Ceiling Radiation Dampers Ceiling radiation dampers, “CRD’s”, are offered in both Rectangular and Round. All CRD’s are spring closured and are UL® rated 3 hour devices. Blades are of a centrally hinged “Butterfly” style with the exception of the CRD 54, which is a single blade model made available in three popular sizes. Two options for link attachment are: Standard Link - Link mounted between the blades “Easy Access” Link - Link mounted between a “hook and catch” on the side of the blades. CRD’s are manufactured 1/4” under nominally ordered duct sizes. CRD’s are available in galvanized and stainless steel. Accessory Items Replacement links, Retaining Angles, Sleeves, Boots and Thermal Blanket are offered for convenience.
